Editorial Policy

7

1. Purpose & Mission

RC Website Group publishes accurate, useful, and trustworthy information for digital professionals, business owners, and technology stakeholders. Our mission is to inform and empower readers through transparent, evidence-based reporting, clear sourcing, and responsible analysis. We separate factual reporting from opinion and label both clearly.

2. Scope of Coverage

We publish news, explainers, how-tos, investigative reporting, reviews, analysis, and fact-checks. Each content type follows the standards in this policy and, when appropriate, additional domain-specific review processes.

3. Editorial Independence & Conflicts of Interest

Our editorial team operates independently of commercial or advertising influences. Editorial decisions are made by editors and journalists based on newsworthiness, accuracy, and public interest. Staff and contributors must disclose any material conflicts of interest. If a conflict exists, we will either decline the assignment or disclose the relationship in the article.

4. Content Creation Workflow

  • Idea / Assignment: An editor approves topics and scope.
  • Research: Writers collect primary and secondary sources and record citations.
  • Drafting: Writers draft using evidence and clearly attribute sources.
  • Editorial Review: Copy editors check facts, clarity, legal risk, and readability.
  • Fact-check / Expert Review: For technical or high-stakes pieces, subject-matter experts are consulted.
  • Publishing: Every item includes byline, author bio, and publish date.

5. Sourcing Standards

We prioritize:

  • Primary sources (official documents, data, interviews, peer-reviewed studies).
  • Named expert interviews and direct statements.
  • Reputable secondary sources when primary sources are unavailable.

All factual assertions must be verifiable. We link to sources whenever possible and indicate when information is based on anonymous sources or third-party reporting.

6. Byline and Author Credentials

Bylines include the author’s name and a short bio describing relevant expertise. For investigative or technical topics, we display relevant qualifications (e.g., degrees, professional roles, affiliations). If a piece was produced by multiple contributors, their roles are listed.

7. Corrections, Updates, and Versioning

We strive for accuracy. If we discover material errors, we will correct them promptly and transparently according to our Corrections Policy. Significant changes will include an “Updated” timestamp and a brief note summarizing the change.

8. Opinion, Sponsorship, and Native Advertising

Opinion and analysis are clearly labeled as such. Sponsored content, partner posts, or native advertising are clearly disclosed and kept visually and operationally distinct from editorial content.

9. Privacy and Source Protection

We respect source confidentiality when necessary for safety and public interest. Requests for source protection are evaluated case-by-case. We follow applicable privacy laws and best practices for handling personal data.
